Code of conduct

Being a part of this community means behaving with professionalism, honesty, respect, and kindness to fellow community members. Therefore, as a community member, you agree that:

  • You use an appropriate profile name.
  • You will not share your personal contact details on the platform or ask another member for theirs.
  • The comments and assignments you post are your own work, and if you quote anything from another place (including other comments), you credit the author.
  • You are respectful of others, and do not use words or share content that is offensive or inflammatory.
  • If you disagree with someone’s ideas you will discuss their ideas, rather than criticize or attack them personally.
  • You are supportive and constructive when offering feedback to other members in activities and discussions.
  • You are law-abiding and do not participate in, condone, or encourage unlawful or potentially harmful activity.
  • You will not use our tools to promote or comment on competing services.
  • You will add to conversations and will not ‘spam’ other members or post comments that are unrelated to the community.
  • You will help the community by reporting comments that you believe have broken this Code of Conduct.

You agree to not use the service to submit or link to any content which is defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, spam or spam-like, likely to offend, contains adult or objectionable content, contains personal information of others, risks copyright infringement, encourages unlawful activity, or otherwise violates any laws. You are entirely responsible for the content of, and any harm resulting from, that content or your conduct.

Advertising your services

You are allowed to lightly advertise your consulting and services.

  • You may provide links to your LinkedIn profile.
  • You may provide links to external websites that directly relate to you.
  • You will not use our tools as a platform for campaigning or sales.
  • You will not use our tools as a platform for political speech.

Intellectual property

Development of intellectual property involves both creative contributions by the community members and publication of assets by PMI Disciplined Agile.

Creative contributions by community members

The entire community may be involved in creating certain content for the DA Advisors community.

  • Contributions of content is done primarily through message board posts which may include attachments.
  • SMEs can be invited to contribute articles.
  • Contributions may be developed through workshops and meetings with other community members.

Here is the understanding of ownership of intellectual property developed by DA Advisor members (other than PMI Disciplined Agile employees and contractors).

  • You are granting us with a non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable, unlimited license to use, publish, or re-publish your Content in connection with the Service.
  • After contributing on the site, contributors may not assert ownership of the content.
  • By contributing content, members are self-certifying that they have authority and right to post the content on the site for others to see and consume.
  • No proprietary or confidential information may be posted on the site.
  • PMI DA moderators will help to moderate this.
    • We will delete suspicious content.
    • We may move threads to the Off-Topic area.

Removing content

We may remove or modify any content submitted at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Requests for content to be removed or modified will be undertaken only at our discretion.

There is no expectation that an author's entire body of work will be removed from the site.

  • Contributors may delete their own original posts.
  • However the nature of a message board is that ideas are developed, and contributors are quoted by other people; therefore, once a post has been submitted, it should generally be expected to be in the pool of ideas on the site.
  • Moderators may remove contributions at their discretion without prior notification.

Commentary and opinions

We encourage people to submit posts, to comment on posts, and to help develop ideas.

We will allow members to vote and rate content.

We will encourage commenting on all article submissions.

Publication by PMI Disciplined Agile

PMI Disciplined Agile employees and contractors may develop content into more formal articles, tools, diagrams, and other assets for the purpose of incorporating into the PMI DA IP body of work.

PMI Disciplined Agile employees and contractors may also publish other content not directly arising from contributions on the site.

All assets developed and published by PMI Disciplined Agile employees and contractors become the property of PMI Disciplined Agile employees and contractors and are governed by PMI copyright.
